A family friendly campsite in Öxarfjörður, playground and swimmingpool within walking distance.

Lundur is located close to Vatnajökull National park where various hiking trails an be found and many attractions.
During the high summer organized walks are offered by the park rangers, further information about departure etc. can be found on www.vjp.is or in the information Centre Gljúfrastofa.
The store in Ásbyrgi is open from 09 - 22 during the summer and there is also a restaurant.
The nearest village is Kópasker where there is a healthcare center, pharmacy, bank, Skerjakolla (store), liquor store, hairdresser and Röndin car garage, folk museum which is just outside the village, 9 hole putting, playground and much more. As well as many good walking routes.
There must be peace and quiet at the camp site between 23:00 - 07:00.
