House Rules & Information
To ensure a comfortable and positive experience for all guests, we ask that you respect the following guidelines:
Registration and Spot Selection
Check-in/Check-out: Guests may begin setting up camp from 14:00 and must vacate the site by 12:00.
Spot Availability: While reservations for specific areas of the site are accepted, they are not guaranteed. If your reserved area is full upon arrival, you must use another available space on the campsite.
Availability Clause: If the specific area you reserved is unavailable at the time of your arrival and you do not wish to move to another section, you may cancel your booking for a full refund.
Pricing & Rates: We offer a Discounted Rate for guests who pre-pay. If payment is not completed in advance and is instead settled during a site inspection, the Standard Rate (a 20% increase) will apply.
Payment: Use the Parka app, pay at the hotel reception, or scan the registration QR code at the entrance.
Vehicle and Parking
Permitted Equipment: Camping spots are primarily reserved for campers, camper vans, and tents.
Parking Preference: To ensure plenty of space and comfort for everyone, we prefer that passenger cars are parked in the designated parking lot next to the campsite.
Mandatory Parking: Cars must be moved to the designated parking lot if they are found to be obstructing other guests, causing a disturbance, or taking up a spot that is needed for camping equipment.
Loading/Unloading: You are always welcome to bring your car onto the campsite briefly for loading or unloading your gear.
Electricity
Availability: Electricity is only available in designated camping zones. Please refer to the site map or signs to ensure you are parked within a zone where power is provided.
Registration: Electricity must be registered and paid for via the Parka app or at the hotel reception before connecting.
Usage: Only one vehicle per power point. Connection is for mobile home consumption only.
Strict Rules: Connecting to power without prior registration is prohibited; if found during inspection, the fee for the connection will be doubled. Vehicle charging is strictly prohibited on the campsite; please use the charging stations in the hotel parking lot.
Behavior and Enforcement
Quiet Hours: Strictly observed from 23:00 to 08:00.
Conduct: Please show respect to other guests. Excessive noise, disruptive behavior, excessive drinking, and the use of illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
Cleanliness: Trash and waste must not be left behind at camping spots. All garbage and recycling must be disposed of in the designated containers. Please leave your spot clean for the next guest.
Eviction Policy: Guests who do not comply with these rules, misbehave, pose a danger to others, or create problems for fellow guests will be asked to leave the campsite immediately. In the event of an eviction for misconduct, there is no right to a refund. If necessary, police services will be notified.
Terms and Conditions
Capacity and Proof of Payment
Max Capacity: Each spot is limited to 6 people (ages 13+). Children 12 and under do not count toward this limit. Groups exceeding this must reserve additional spots.
Proof of Payment: Guests must be able to present a digital or printed proof of payment to staff upon request.
Reselling: It is strictly forbidden to resell campsite reservations.
Cancellations and Early Departures
Standard Cancellation: Full refund (minus a 2000 ISK fee) if cancelled at least 24 hours before your scheduled arrival.
Early Departure (Shortened Stay): If you decide to leave earlier than planned, you are eligible for a 50% refund on the remaining nights.
Note: If you depart after the 15:00 check-in time has passed, that current night is non-refundable. The 50% refund applies to the nights following it.
Legal
Governing Law: These terms and the provision of our services are governed by Icelandic law. Any disputes shall be submitted exclusively to the competent courts in Iceland.
Pricing: All prices include VAT.
Severability: If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, all other provisions remain valid and binding.
